BUSHENYI MOURNS DEATH OF ANOTHER CANDIDATE IN 2021 GENERAL ELECTIONS JIMMY KAJUNDA

Bushenyi district are mourning the death of another candidate in the forthcoming general elections Jimmy Kajunda Twetume.

Jimmy Kajunda Twetume a candidate for Katikamwe LCIII councillorship died yesterday.

Kajunda becomes the second candidate for 2021 elections to die in Bushenyi district after James Magezi a candidate in Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality mayoral race who was buried on Sunday succumbed to Covid 19.

Speaking to www.mknewslink.com reporter, Elsam Mugizi the chairman LC III Kyabugimbi sub county said that they have lost a politician with mature and informed politics.

According to Mugizi, Kajunda was a retired head teacher from Mitooma district and succumbed to cancer which he has been battling for many years.

Mugizi added that Kajunda who has died in his 60s joined politics of Kyabugimbi as independent in 2016 and he was still an independent candidate in these coming elections.

“I was at late Kaunda’s home this morning and preparations for his burial are going on and will be buried tomorrow,” said Elsam Mugizi.
