BUSHENYI NRM REGISTRAR ARRESTED FOR STEALING 18 GOATS

Police in Bushenyi have arrested the Kakanju NRM registrar on charges of stealing goats.
Jonath Musinguzi was apprehended over the weekend after he was caught red handed with two stolen goats.
The acting Bushenyi DPC Titus Kitosi has confirmed the arrest of Musinguzi adding that he is in their custody and will be taken to court to answer to charges of livestock theft.
He said that livestock theft is a big case in Bushenyi since cattle is the mainly livelihood for the residents.
He blamed the registrar for showing a bad example to Kakanju residents and the entire Bushenyi community.
He added that such a leader should be a good example whom people look up for pieces of advice.
He assured our reporter that Musinguzi won’t be given police bond; his case will be handled as emergency, he will have to first appear before court.
The district NRM registrar Alikangiro Barekye told www.mknewslink.com that he was going to investigate the matter since he does expect such from his staff.
Kakanju subcounty found in Bushenyi district is well known for producing a number of thieves because most of the youths don’t go to school neither do they work but rather spend the whole meandering around villages.
