BUSHENYI: ONLY 1825 RESIDENTS TO GET COVID 19 VACCINE AFTER DISTRICT RECEIVES 3650 DOZES

Bushenyi district has today 19th March 2021 finally received COVID 19 Astra Zeneca vaccine and launched its vaccination in the district.
The vaccination process was launched at Bushenyi health center IV by the District Health Officer Dr. Edward Mwesigye.
Mwesigye revealed that they have received only 3650 dozes of Astra Zeneca and each person should receive two dozes in a period of 28 days.
Dr. Mwesigye said the district has gazzetted five centers of; Bushenyi H/C IV, Kyeizooba H/C III, Kyabugimbi H/C IV, Nyabubare H/C III and Kyamuhunga H/C III.
He emphasized that in all centers of vaccinations, the vaccine will always be taken there on a daily basis and only kept at Bushenyi H/C IV
The Bushenyi District RDC Asiimwe Jane Muhindo, urged the people to feel free with the vaccination because the vaccine is not meant to harm anyone but to help their bodies fight corona virus in case they get infected.
Speaking to www.mknewslink.com David Byamukama the District Commercial Officer who was the first person to be vaccinated revealed that the injection is not painful and urged everyone to take part in the process besides many criticisms.
