BUSHENYI RESIDENTS’ HEALTH AT STAKE AS LOITERING ANIMALS SNEAK INTO HOTEL KITCHENS

Business operators in Bushenyi town are worried over animals that are set free by the owners to loiter in town.
Some of the dwellers who talked to www.mknewslink.com revealed that they are tired of these animals which loiter around destroying their property while the authorities do nothing about it.
In an interview with www.mknewslink.com reporter today morning, Evelyn Ashaba a restaurant owner in Bushenyi town said the animals sneak into their kitchens and uncover their prepared food which she said is a threat to their customers’ health since some animals may contaminate the food.
Roland Arinaitwe a street vendor in Bushenyi town told www.mknewslink.com reporter that these animals defecate everywhere contaminating the area with dung therefore called for the municipal council intervention.
Benard Ainamani a trader in Bushenyi town worried why municipal council planted trees which they cannot protect as animals are now destroying them.
However, Steven Karuti the Central division chairperson said that they are in touch with the municipal council to have an animal cage where they will be keeping animals found loitering.
He added that after these animals are impounded, the owners will have to first face court before they get them back.
