BUSHENYI RETIRED TEACHER ARRESTED FOR DEFRAUDING CAO’S OFFICE

Bushenyi police have in its custody a retired teacher for allegedly defrauding and forging documents to get pension, arrears and gratuity from the office of Bushenyi CAO.
The arrested was identified as Justus Kiiza Turyamureba aged 40, former teacher at Kitwe Primary School and a resident of Rwibare village Kyanzire Parish, Kashenshero Sub County in Mitooma District.
The arrest came after the suspect appeared several times in the office of the Bushenyi Chief Administrative Officer Malik Mahaba Mulindwa demanding for money which made the CAO suspicious.
According to CAO, Justus have been continuously harassing him on phone plus threatening to sue him if he (Malik) doesn’t pay him in time which prompted him to inform the police to arrest him and be investigated.
Malik added that after arresting Justus, he was interrogated and confessed that he has been forging since his retirement in 2014 on public interest on claims that he was harassing students homosexually.
Justus had already stolen UGX24M since 2014 and now taking advantage of the new CAO, he was demanding UGX4.6, but on checking with record of former payments, they found that he was already paid.

Martial told www.mknewslink.com that investigations into the matter are under and Justus will be taken to the courts of laws.
Justus is currently behind the bars at Bushenyi Police station and case has been registered under file CRB 1075/19 reference.
Bushenyi CAO Malik Mahaba condemned the alleged act and argued all the workers in public officers to be vigilant with such people when recommending them.
