BUSHENYI ROAD USERS BLOCK PORTUGUESE CONSTRUCTION CO.TRUCKS OVER CONTINUOUS ACCIDENTS

Boda boda cyclists and other road users in Bushenyi district have this morning blocked Trucks from MOTA-ENGIL, a Portuguese construction company over too many accidents.
The incident has followed an accident that happened at around 8:30am in Bushenyi town along Mbarara-Kasese road when a Mota-engil Howo Cino truck Reg. No UBE 626N carrying aggregate stones rammed into a Toyota fielder car Reg. No UBA 596X leaving its driver unconscious.
Boda boda cyclists and other road users accuse the company truck drivers of reckless driving saying that they are putting their lives at stake every hour.
Police has immediately rushed to the scene and talked to the people to clear the road as it has been a very busy day when students were reporting back to schools.
Speaking to www.mknewslink.com at his office, the Greater Bushenyi police spokesperson SP Martial Tumusiime said that the one yet to be identified person who sustained injuries has been admitted at KIU hospital in Bushenyi-Ishaka municipality as investigations are underway.
He added that the truck driver is on run and the truck is being packed at the police custody.
SP Martial Tumusiime has advised drivers to be careful during this time when students are going back to schools.
MOTA-ENGIL is a Portuguese construction company that is currently working on rehabilitation of Ishaka-Katunguru tarmac road that connects to Kasese district.
