In Bushenyi
Residents of Rwibare Ryamabengwa in central division Bushenyi Ishaka municipality have appealed to the government to rehabilitate roads, culverts, and bridges within the area.
According to residents, they had earlier appealed to the municipality authorities to ensure that the taxes collected are seen in form of service delivery like the repairing of roads, but nothing has been done so far.
Didas Tayebwa the LC1 chairperson said that due to failure of the municipality authorities they have decided to open up some small trenches, but due to lack of culverts, they failed to continue opening up other impassable roads in their area.
However, speaking to www.mknewslink.com reporter, the chairman LC3 councilor Ryamabengwa ward to the division Noreda Kebirungi hailed the residents for doing community work and not waiting for the government in rehabilitating roads.
She also vowed to continue pushing their cause to higher authorities.
