BUSHENYI TO EXPERIENCE HEAVY RAINS TILL DECEMBER

The Bushenyi district Production coordinator Gorden Tumuhimbise said that according to the weather fore cast for the months September to December people should expect heavy rains described as above normal rains.

Speaking to www.mknewslink.com reporter at his office, Tumuhimbise called upon farmers to be mindful on their gardens and plantations so that the heavy rainfalls mostly in the month of October do not affect their production negatively.
He advised that farmers should mulch their gardens; dig ditches among others to control water from erasing away their soils and crops.

Tumuhimbise noted that farmers need to plant early this month so that by the time of heavy rainfall in October, their crops will not be affected.

He advised farmers to keep their animals away from swampy areas which are likely to flood in October and cause diseases like foot disease then to spray their animals at least two times a week to keep them healthy during this rainy season.
