MINISTER KAROORO OFFERS VOCATIONAL SKILLS TO OVER 700 WOMEN, GIRLS

The Minister of general duties in the office of prime minister, also the Bushenyi district woman member of parliament, Ms. Mary Karooro Okurut has organized a free vocational training for women in Bushenyi.
The two month skills training targets to empower develop and promote skills of over 700 women and girls in Bushenyi District. Courses to be trained include; tailoring and knitting, hair dressing and cutting among others.
Minister Karooro told www.mknewslink.com that the training will empower women and girls with required skills to help them fit in the competitive world.
She thus urged all women and girls to always embrace such programmes since they are the beneficiaries.
The skills training which will be hosted at former Centre for Tertially Studies Katungu Bushenyi will see the students receive free accommodation, free meals and free training from qualified trainers.
Many girls and women have already reported for the training and have expressed their appreciation to the minister for this programme.
