By Innocent Atuganyira
In Masindi—
Businesses in Kijunjubwa sub county Buruli County in Masindi district have come to a stand due to the alarming situation of Kikingura – Kijunjubwa road.
The business operators explained that the road is always impassable mostly during rainy season and this has lasted for more than three years.
By press time, many business vehicles had got stuck on the road for hours and Moses Ssempala a business operator explained that they had resorted to passing on the side of the road.
The angry business man blamed the constructor for the shoddy work noting that water has logged on the road thus making the road impassible.
According to Geoffrey Agaba a tax collector at Kijunjubwa Market, they had spent more 30 minutes stuck on the road, and they don’t have any hope since the road is muddy.
Efforts to get a comment from the Masindi district Secretary for works and Technical services who also doubles as the district vice chairperson Kassim Kabagonza were futile by the time we filed this story since he couldn’t respond to our repeated phone calls.
