BUY BIBLES! BORROWING ONE IS SIGN OF CORRUPTION —BISHOP BALIKU
By Alex Baluku
In Kasese—
The Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku has challenged Christians to endeavor to procure religious tools that will facilitate their interaction with God.
Bishop Baluku said he learnt that some Christians borrow tools like Bibles and other prayer books on some occasions yet they should ideally own them.
The prelate said it was unfortunate that even some candidates due for confirmation in the Anglican faith borrow the Bible yet they ought to have procured one during confirmation classes.
Bishop Nason Baluku said borrowing a Bible is a sign of corruption which he said would not be a good sign especially in the church.
According to Bishop Nason Baluku, if Christians continue with a tendency of borrowing and lending Bibles to others, this might contribute to the down fall of the gospel.
He made the remarks while confirming over 350 believers in the Anglican faith at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Kasese Town yesterday.
In his preaching from the biblical books of John 2:6 and Romans 8:10, he urged Christians to cleanse their hearts of sins as they usher in a new year 2022.
