BUSHENYI YOUTH DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION DONATES 2M SOLAR SYSTEM TO KIBAZI HEALTH CENTRE II, RUHUMURO SSS

Bushenyi Youth Development Association [BUYODA] on Thursday 6th September donated solar systems worth 2m to Kibazi Health Centre II in Kyamuhunga subcounty and Ruhumuro SSS in Ruhumuro.
Dr.Akanyijuka Julian the Incharge at Kibazi Health Centre II applauded the BUYODA for this great innovation adding that they have been suffering a lot in treating patients especially in night hours.
According to Dr.Julian, Kibazi health centre receives about 800 to 1000 patients per month whereby 80 patients are suffering from malaria.
She added that pregnant mothers lack maternity services yet the health centre serves over nine villages and some parts of Bitooma and Rubirizi district.
Kibazi Health centre II started in 2006 and in the whole of Kyamuhunga subcounty, it’s the only nearest Government hospital.
While handing over the solar system to the hospital administrators, Mr.Ibrahim Baryamujura the BUYODA Chairman said that they started with donating solar to non-electrified Schools and hospitals as part of their corporate social responsibilities.
He told the hospital administrators to utilize well and care for the little share they have received as they wait for bigger things ahead through BUYODA.
Tayebwa Nicholas Kabirisi the subcounty speaker thanked Mr.Ibrahim for having such a caring heart and promised to continue supporting such Non-Governmental Organizations.
Deborah Musinguzi, the Ruhumuro SSS headteacher thanked BUYODA for their generous support to the school.
She added that ever since the school started in 2012, they see a great change in development of the area having received support from Hon.Micheal Mawanda who constructed the administrstion block, Annet Katusiime Mugisha also put up the staff quarters and now BUYODA has delivered a solar system.
Deborah further noted that they will ensure that students utilize this solar during prep time.
According to Deborah, Ruhumuro SSS a private School Licensed by Ministry of Education and Sports started in 2012 under Church of Uganda, West Ankole Diocese at Ruhumuro P/s and later shifted in 2015.
Ruhumuro has an enrollment of 156 students from Senior One to Senior Four.
Baryamujura Ibrahim the BUYODA chairman said that they will continue supporting this school until it reaches the climax in development.
He urged the school Administration to utilize and care for this solar during night and morning preps so that students can perform better.
