CASUAL LABORER KILLED BY UNKNOWN ASSAILANTS IN RUKUNGIRI

Police in Rukungiri are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 50-year-old casual laborer Bikurungu Town council in Rukungiri district.

Tibakirana explains the deceased and his colleague one Tindyebwa Charles 29, who both hail from Ruhama in Ntungamo district were seen on the 11th July 2022 at around 7:00 PM drinking alcohol at Omukihesi Trading Center after receiving advance payment from their boss
At around 03:00AM of 12th July 2022, Tindyebwa reported to Kajungu John a nephew of their employer that he had found the colleague murdered by unknown assailants.
Tibakirana says that the deceased was found in his bedroom lying in a pool of blood and since Tindyebwa was highly suspected, he was arrested and handed over to Police at Bikurungu Police station
The scene of the crime was visited and documented by the district investigations team, Scene of crime officers, a team of detectives, and other personnel who observed that the body had visible multiple cuts on the right head side and the left leg.
A panga with blood stains was recovered at the scene.
The body was taken to Rwakabengo Health Center III for Postmortem to ascertain the actual cause of the death.
