13 PEOPLE ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH BUSHENYI GUN ATTACKS; OVER 100 MORE ON WANTED LIST

Police in Bushenyi are holding 13 people for allegedly involving in the recent panga and gun attacks that had engulfed the region.
According Eddy Sserunjoji the greater Bushenyi region police commander, a total of 13 suspects have so far been rounded off in relation with the recent gun and panga attacks and armed robbery in Bushenyi.
Sserunjoji said that 2 of the arrested are connected to panga attacks while 6 are connected with panga and gun attacks and are charged with aggravated robbery.
He added that 5 have been transferred away from Bushenyi for further investigations.
Sserunjoji also disclosed that over 100 more suspects connected to panga and gun attacks are likely to be arrested noting that investigations are still underway.
Sserunjoji while in an exclusive interview with mknewslink.com managing director, assured the public that police is doing great work to ensure that the situation calms down.
He also urged the police officers and other security personnel to put in more efforts while performing their duties.
Gun and panga attacks have been rampant in the region with several cases including the murder in Kyamuhunga, gun shoot in Ruharo, armed robbery at Tides bar in Bushenyi town among others.
