LC1 Chairpersons storm Alimugonza Primary school over accountability for school property, poor performance
LC1 Chairpersons of villages neighboring Alimugonza primary school in Pakanyi Sub County, Masindi district yesterday stormed the school demanding accountability for the school’s property.
The chairpersons of Alimugonza Central, Alimugonza 1, Pabidi, Tantara among other villages in the school’s catchment stormed the school demanding explanation from the school management on the whereabouts of over 100 pieces of iron sheets that were removed from the classroom block that was deroofed by wind in July this year.
The school recently received over 100 iron sheets from the office of the prime minister that were used to replace the blown off roof for P4 and P5 classrooms.
The chairpersons who had spoken to www.mknewslink.com news website on grounds of anonymity earlier, also wanted the school management to explain the whereabouts of over 700 pieces of timber that were cut from the school’s trees and those that were given to the school by Kyakamese Central parish to roof the same classroom block.
They claimed that the roofing did not take all the timber.
The chairpersons also wanted the school head teacher Byaruhanga Wilson to explain the persistent poor performance by the school and yet it has teachers who are paid by the government.
However, when the chairpersons accompanied by some opinion leaders from the area stormed the school, they later went for a closed door meeting that was chaired by the sub county vice chairperson, Alice Katusiime and attended by the head teacher and the sub chairperson Pakanyi Frank Asiimwe among other leaders.
None of the people who attended the meeting was willing to talk to the journalists after it and it was hard for them to know what transpired.

In Sheema—
The Member of Parliament for Sheema South Prof. Elijah Mushemeza has attacked senior presidential advisor on manifesto implementation Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu that he is greedy at 85 years, he should be retired.
He noted that he will not hand over power to a person of 85 years but only those below 60 because they are still young and have great plans and aspirations for Sheema south.
Prof. Mushemeza said this yesterday during the burial ceremony of the late Henry Kiiza the son of Beirukanga who was a prominent businessman in Ankole.
Prof. Mushemeza noted that he is working hard to ensure that rural areas of Sheema south get electricity through rural electrification agency. He noted that most of the villages in Sheema south are on plan to get this power.
He also said that the road from Bwizibwera through Sheema north, Kabwohe to Kitagata, Kabira and Rukungiri is being surveyed by UNRA engineers and very soon, tarmacking of the road.

The foundation of everything gives it a good shape, in fact it also applies to the approach and how you plan to come up with something strong.
Central Ankole diocese ,CAD right from the process of formation was like a balloon; vulnerable and easy to lose, either wind may blow it in any direction or it is pierced by something.
Some people think they can start, and implement their resolutions on behalf of others without engaging them, Alas it’s a mistake. A section of Christians sits somewhere ,drafts something and starts vending the idea to others without prior engagement in shaping.
They, however forget that refusal by one parish may cause the denial to grant the whole district a
diocese, were all parishes engaged?
Were people of influence in the church like Canon Charles Aine engaged in the quest for the diocese? This is a man with big influence in the province of the church of Uganda, he is from Rukondo, he was not engaged and he means a lot in the decision of the church in Uganda.
In the last time synod ,after all deliberations by the members on the matters concerning CAD for about an hour , the canon raised his arm ,and asked to conclude the matter ,his decision and appeal to give CAD another formation sealed everything.
The people behind the quest for the diocese have learnt nothing from such signals; Canon Charles is powerful in the church , recently when the archbishop visited the diocese to open Nicholas foundation, he slept at Canon Charles Aine home, leaving all the beautiful hotels ,diocese guest houses among others ,what do they think was being discussed during that lengthy visit?
Another mistake was that people of vast experience in the church were excluded and instead young Kampala people were fronted; the likes of Muhangi,Ekanyas , Benard Makaru and others ,where are you now. Same person fronting an idea of a new diocese is saying plan B, distance yourselves from such people when agitating for serious decisions.
The trails of voting out historicals from the church structures which was intended created a big mistake, there are people of influence whom the bishop gives a call while in his sitting room, you don’t engage them ,you lose.
Let’s build from the mistakes we made last time, we engage everybody in this we shall see CAD here without using a lot of energy.
