TWO SUSPECTED THIEVES KILLED BY MOB IN MBARARA

Two suspected thieves have been lynched by mob at two separate places in Mbarara city.
The first mob action occurred on Wednesday night at Alliance, Kakoba , Mbarara City south division where unidentified middle aged man suspected to be a phone snatcher was put out of action by an angry mob.
Residents intimated to www.mknewslink.com that the suspect was lynched by a mob after he tried to snatch a phone from one of the residents at around 08:00Pm on Wednesdays night.
The second mob action occurred on Thursday morning at around 05:00Am along Buremba road where unidentified man believed to be in his 20’s was lynched by a Boda Boda mob after he tried to grab one of the motorcycles that was parked at What’s up Bar in Mbarara city.
ASP Samson Kasasira the Rwizi region police spokesperson noted that mob action in the region has drastically increased.
He further said that as police they condemn mob actions and warned people to desist from acts of mob justice because it is likely to lead them behind bars.
The two bodies of the deceased were picked up by police homicide team and taken to Mbarara regional referral hospital for postmortem.
