CATHOLICS VS PROTESTANTS THREATEN TO TEAR APART KIGEZI SUB REGION

Religious fights between catholics and protestants in Kigezi sub-region western Uganda are at its peak even comparable to DP and UPC during Obote II regime

According to www.mknewslink.com Managing director’s research done for six months comparing the two religions and its followers, the sharp differences are evident.

Even president Yoweri Museven while campaigning for Rose kabagyeni   for woman MP Kisoro By-election. He confirmed that there are religious differences and these differences are between catholics and protestants.

What angers most protestants is the fact that Kigezi has four ministers; Maj Gen Jim muhwezi is the only protestant,David Bahati,Henry Musasiziand Dr Chris Baryamunsi are all catholics.

According to our research whatever is done in Kigezi is measured and considered according to Catholicism and Protestantism.

The most affected districts are in greater kabale that is kabale, Rukiga, Rubanda as well as Kisoro. For Rukungiri and Kanungu the vice is there but is not at its peak as it is in the above districts.

It is evident that in every district there are king makers and whenever they decide according to their religious then the other religions decide contrary

In the coming elections of 2025 and 2026, Catholics and protestants will be fielding in candidates with the same position as now religious fights are on top of everything.

Finally, as highlighted above, every activity to be done in Kigezi is measured according Catholicism and Protestantism.
