ENTERTAINMENT NEWS:
Socialite Judith Heard has been in the media recently for a number of reasons mostly due to her nude pictures and saucy videos that were leaked. But she is back again after throwing shade at rival socialite Zari Hassan.
Heard and Zari have been reported to be at loggerheads since they both have parties they push for. Heard has been known to be working for Sue Ochola’s Arab Money party while Zari has her All-White party.
“Who is Zari?” she asked our reporter. This shocked the latter who asked how come she did not know yet they used to hung out together in the past,
This prompted Nnalongo Heard to intimate that she simply hates Zari’s name.
“I do not like saying Zari’s name because it’s not important to me,” she said.
When prompted to explain more about this situation Heard said that she was not comfortbale being Zari’S friend because they both have different beliefs.
“We can’t be friends because we are different people. She likes things different from mine. No one chooses your friends. I don’t wanna be her friend. I was not comfortable and I chose to cut the friendship. It’s a choice I made,” Heard said.
She, however, blamed the public and the media for making a mountain out of a mole hill for entertainment’s sake.
“The public is the one that makes a big deal out of these events. It’s mostly media that blows it out of proportion because they want to make sales.
DESIRE LUZINDA STOLE MY SONG- SOPHIE GOMBYA
Again in the spotlight for wrong reasons. Rumour has it that Desire Luzinda’s latest track titled “Manyi Ga Mukyala” was stolen from Singer Sophie Gombya.
Artiste Sophie Gombya and her manager are claiming that the song originally belonged to them.
Sophie says she bought the song from a songwriter named Ice Melody. “We bought it and went to record it at Monster Studios. The environment wasn’t favourable though so we left the studio. We found people smoking weed so we pushed the recording to a later date,” says Gombya’s manager.
He adds that “We were shocked to hear the song playing on the radio.”
However, the songwriter Melody says, the song belongs to Desire.
I CAN SPEAK PATOIS FROM MORNING TO MORNING- BEENIE GUNTER
Local dancehall musician Beenie Gunter is known mostly for his energetic stage performances of songs heavily loaded with patois.
Some of his fans have, however, been heard grumbling about whether he speaks and sing ‘real patois’ but yesterday, he came out and said the dialect synonymous with Jamaicans was actually the real deal.
“I became interested in Patois while I was in Primary Three after listening to Beenie Man,” Gunter told a group of youth during an MTN- Career Expo in Kampala yesterday. The career day expo was organised as part of MTN’s 21 days of Y’ello Care. “Right now I can speak patois from morning to morning without stopping. I am self-taught and I took years to learn.”
Gunter also advised the youth to believe in themselves if they are to become successful in life.
“I am living off music because I am living my dream. One day my girlfriend told me she was waiting for the day I will inspire people. And today here I am talking to fellow youth about making it in life. You can be anything you want to be in life as long as you believe in yourself and God.”
I have believed in myself and surrounded myself with people who matter and that is how I manage to make my today be better than yesterday.
