The long standing battle between the district and the people of Bumbaire sub county in Bushenyi district on where to locate a 1.6 b seed school has come to the end today 28th March 2019 after the councilors, their chairman bowed to pressure and decided to locate the school at Kabushaho instead of Kigurusi which they had vehemently refused(Kabushaho)
There have been misunderstandings between district leaders on where to build the seed school between Kabushaho and Kigurusi.
In a council meeting held today 28th March 2019 at Bushenyi district council hall, councilors agreed to put the school at Kabushaho since even Bishop Johnson of West Ankole diocese had written a letter dated 3rd.March.2019 showing that the diocese is more committed to give the land.
However, councilors noted that though the school will be built on church land, it will not be on any foundation body as far as religious is concerned because seed schools are there for all people regardless of their religion.
They requested the Chief Administrative Officer Eliab Byamungu to take legal formalities before building the school.
