The LCV chairman Buliisa district Agaba Kinene Simon has today cautioned Bagungu kingdom Activists over pernicious effect.
speaking to www.mknewslink.com said that a king is born a king not elected thus kingship is inherited, however Bagungu splitting off from Bunyoro kingdom will cause trouble among the people of Bunyoro.
Sustainability of Bugungu will be hard because cultural institutions should be having its own assets, what are the assets of the people of Bagungu? game park, lake or, He added
“Let them try if they can but I don’t see the possibility of Bagungu breaking off from Bunyoro, because am not that party” He concluded
Nevertheless Muhumuza Langton a resident at Bugoigo said that once Bagungu partakes from Bunyoro will play a big role in preserving Bugungu culture and also create unity among the people living in Bagungu like other kingdoms.
Buliisa was one of the twenty eight district in Bunyoro kingdom during the reign of king Kabalega.
Mr Nyendwoha Mutiti the first Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Jackson Byaruhanga Minister of Natural resources, Dr Florence Asiimwe Minister of social services and also Ms Dinah Kasangaki minister for Gender are Bagungu presentative in the Bunyoro cabinet.
