Police in Ibanda district are investigating circumstances that caused a man to kill his wife and then commit suicide.

The accused has been identified as Frank Tibeesigwa aged 58 years who LCI chairperson for Kiburara A cell in Ishongororo town council in Ibanda North constituency.
It is alleged that Tibeesigwa chopped his wife Rossette Mpumwire aged 30 years after a misunderstanding.
According to Stella Komungaro a daughter to the deceased, Tibeesigwa having killed his wife went into a nearby bush with a bottle full of poison and drunk it. His body was found lying under the tree.

The District Police Commander Ms.Angomoku confirmed the incident saying that it was unfortunate for the family to lose two people at ago.
