CHRISTIANS AT LIFTUP JESUS CHURCH OPENS THEIR WORSHIP CENTRE.

Christians at Rubuguri Rift Up Jesus on 18th Dec 2022 resumed worshiping after spending over a month while their church is closed in Kisoro district.

This happened on Sunday 18th Dec 2022 at Rubuguri Lift Up Jesus Church located in Rwamatembe village, Rubuguri town council where a team from Lift Up Jesus Christian Ministries headquarters Kabale got involved in re-opening the Church.

it is alleged that Bishop Aloysius Kiiza together with church fellows started a church in Rubuguri town council after Batwa the alarming how they were facing a challenge of travelling long distances moving to Kabale to worship where they could come to attend church services at least once in a month.

It is also noted that a group of whites later came as donors and asked to partner with them in ministering these services by contributing on building a church, a school and helping Batwa in their community by providing basic needs.

Christians narrated that that were surprised after seeing the Whites changing a name of this church from Lift up Jesus church to Hope Mission and later sued the bishop in the courts of law claiming to be the owners of that place and projects that are taking place which resulted in the closure of this church.

Ahimbisibwe Alex the pastor, during the interview said that these whites of Hope Mission are the ones doing each and everything to sabotage them from using this church which has continued the closure of this church.

Ahimbisibwe explained that the court dismissed the case while the state attorney commanded that bishop and his team should be given back the keys of this church from the office of RDC Kisoro. Unfortunately, the Kisoro resident commissioner who was supposed to handover these keys travelled to United Kingdom which have still paralyzed the church activities and this has forced them to conduct church service outside the in tents.

Bagyenyi Edward assistant pastor said that he decided to co-operate with Batwa because they had the same goal in terms of spiritual wise, he thanked the Almighty Lord for achieving their goals and reopening worship gatherings

He therefore appealed to political leaders to provide equal rights to the Batwa as other people.

Pastor Michael Kanyesigye who presented Bishop Aloysius Kiiza and her Wife Pastor Margret Kiiza from the Lift Up Jesus Christian Ministries Kabaleasked members of this Church to co-operate, forgive each other, unite in order to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ with a great honor as homes of Christians welcomes visitors in a descent way.

He added that people who haven’t surrendered themselves to Jesus Christ are the ones who are getting involved in doing wrong such as robbery, murder, cheating on their partners, taking alcohol but those who are born again always produce positive results in their societies.

However, Lift Jesus Church Kabale will celebrate Christmas with these Batwa at their branch in Rubuguri Town Council, Kisoro district and the Bishop gifted them a cow.
