CHURCH CLOSED AFTER MEMBERS CLOBBERED JOURNALIST RE OPENS UNDER UNKNOWN CIRCUMSTANCES

Fort Portal municipality and police are investigating circumstances under which Jerusalem Miracle Centre Pentecostal church was re-opened after the police closed it.
The church in question was closed after its Christians clobbered Superior Mugaga a journalist attached to Voice of Tooro.
Superior was attacked by the irate mob of Christians from Jerusalem Miracle Pentecostal church of Pastor Dan Mubiiru when he had gone to cover a land conflict story between Jerusalem Miracle Centre, and Bethesda church belonging to Specioza Nabukeera.
Mid May this year Pr. Dan Mubiiru was nabbed and caged at Police for allegedly leading a rival faction to raid on another church.
Pr Mubiru and his Christians allegedly stormed Bukwali Bethsaida Miracle Centre, demanding that Nabukeera and his followersvacate the premises on grounds that they were not the rightful owners of the land and the church itself.
Liaisons officer Fort portal police Mugisa Solomon yesterday visited the two churches and warned them against inciting violence in their followers.
Solomon said that police is still investigating into the matter and vowed to close any church that is not following the laws.
