Christians in Sheema have been advised to mind their tongues and control their deeds
The advice was sounded by Rev Fr Vincent Mucunguzi Masteady while preaching to a congregation at Mushanga Parish yesterday Sunday 7th April 2019.
Basing message on a woman in the Bible who was taken to Jesus by some men alleging that they caught her red handed committing adultery, Mucunguzi said that most Christians have totally failed to control their words, know their deeds but only want to concentrate on others.
“Many times we use our tongues to defame our fellow human beings by reporting things which have never happened, but if God is to publicly play the life video of each one of us, the world would be shocked. We have many stones of hatred, accusing others falsely and many other sins on our hearts, I request you to repent,” Fr. Mucunguzi
He added that it’s true some people hate him because he is open and broad but asked Christians to always tell the truth so that its sets them free in the eyes of God
Fr Mucunguzi said all these in a welcoming function that was organized by Mushanga Catholic parish Christians to welcome him as a new parish priest.
Last month, Rev Fr Vincent Mucunguzi Masteady was transferred from Mushanga parish to head office at Nyamitanga Mbarara which made Mushanga catholics who had already tasted his sweetness cry like hungry babies.
However, God dearly answered his people’s prayer and before he handed over, he was reposting back to Mushanga parish to first accomplish the projects he had started.
Abel Kahara Atucungwiire Mayor Sheema municipality revealed thathe was saddened by the news that the father had been transferred and thanked God for hearing, listening to his prayer.
“I will work with you Father by spreading the truth everywhere, me too, some have started hating me because of telling them the truth,” Kahara
Privato Kanyesigye chairman parish council told us that they didn’t only carry out those celebrations to surprise Fr Mucunguzi but also to thank God for always being there for them
Meanwhile Archdiocese of Mbarara Development Association (AMDA) that will camp at Mushanga parish in September of this yearwas also launched.
AMDA is an association consists of Catholic members from Mbarara Archdiocese but staying in Kampala, and they every year camp in a Catholic parish in Mbarara archdiocese for three days where they give charitable activities like free treatment, free guidance and counselling, helping the needy like in education among others
