CORONA VIRUS: SEASONAL MARKETS ,BARS BANNED,HOTELS TO OPERATE UNDER STRICT RULES

The Bushenyi Resident District Commissoiner Jolly Tibemanya has revealed that like any other gatherings, Seasonal markets have also been banned following outbreak Corona Virus.
RDC Tibemanya said this today 20th March 2020 during a press conference held in his office at Bushenyi district headquarters.
He noted that places which attract many people in one place at the same time will not be allowed to operate citing out seasonal markets that operate once in a week.
The RDC explained that these markets attract different people from different places since people prepare and eagerly wait for them that they even bring people across boarders.
RDC clarified that markets like Bushenyi central market ,Ishaka central Market , Kizinda daily market will continue operating but markets of Kizinda monthly market ,Omukashanda ,Nyakabirizi and others that operate monthly ,weekly will not be allowed to operate.
The closure of these markets follows a directive by President Museveni that all gatherings, parties should be postponed and churches, schools closed in a bid to curtail the spread of Corona Virus.
The RDC also said that the public should note that unlike bars, restaurants , and hotels will not close but they are required to strictly observe other guidelines as stipulated by ministry of Health.
The DPC Joel Komakech who was also present at the conference advised the public to respect the president’s directive adding that with immediate effect as the security, they have deployed night patrols to arrest those who will break the directive.
Lodge attendants are requested to inform security whenever they get visitors and nobody shall be allowed to sleep in any lodge with out registration using his National ID.
