Masindi high court has today dismissed an application filed by Prudence Alituha the Masindi district principal fisheries officer against Masindi district local government and the chief administrative officer John Nyakahuma.
Last week, Alituha dragged Masindi district Chief Administrative Officer, John Nyakahuma and Masindi district local government accusing them of prematurely terminating her term of office as the acting District production and marketing officer.
At the same time she applied for an interim order seeking court to stop the handover of office of the district production officer and marketing to Dr. Fred Ssebuguzi the district veterinary officer.
Alituha was assigned to act as the District Production Officer on the 15th March 2018 to 15th September 2018. However during the court proceeding, her lawyer Susan Zemei said that Alituha was assigned to act as DPO on the 15th march 2018 and received the appointment a letter from the district service commission on 25th July 2018.
Delivering his judgment, Simon Kintu Ziruntusa, the Masindi high court assistant registrar noted that an interim order blocking the handover of office was not necessary at all since Alituha did not present to court any injury accruing from it.
