The Masindi Grade one Magistrate’s court has ordered Masindi LCV Chairman to henceforth open the office of the Chief Administrative officer which has been under lock for close to one month.
A court order issued and signed by Grade one Magistrate Biwaga Selsa yesterday ordered PS Ministry of local Government to intervene and resolve the difference between the CAO and the district council to avoid the disruption of government programs.
The grade one magistrate however did not award costs on both sides.
The CAO rushed to court after district council headed by LCV chairman locked his office on 9th September this year.
Since then, several meetings have been held with a view of having the office opened but in vain.
Masindi district council last month resolved that CAO must be transferred from the district accusing him of failure to implement council resolutions among other the accusations he vehemently denied.
