As COVID19 continues to bite among teachers, a primary head teacher in Rukungiri was yesterday morning discovered hanging in a rope
The deceased has been identified as Kenneth Mushoborozi aka Seketa 43 the head teacher at Kyamutariga Primary school in Kebisoni Sub county and a resident of Nshungyezi trading center Rubanga parish in Buyanja Sub County.
According to the son who sleeps in the quarters of the father’s shop, he tried to wake his father up as usual to open the shop but he unfortunately couldn’t respond.
The deceased’s elder brother Benjamin Mubangizi revealed to www.mknewslink.com that the deceased has been battling mental illness which could have caused this suicidal act.
Elly Mate the Kigezi Region Police spokesman condemned the act saying that the deceased could have sought for help from relevant authorities instead of finishing his life in such a manner.
“I want to condemn this, because I imagine that whichever reasons he had for doing so could have been sorted out in a better method than the one of taking his own life,”Maate noted.
The case has since been registered at Rukungiri main Police station vide CRB 1663/2020 as Police investigations commence.
