The Bushenyi District Health Officer Dr. Edward Mwesigye has exclusively told www.mknewslink.com that one of the COVID 19 victims who tested positive yesterday had moved around Bushenyi and Buhweju districts in the last two weeks.
He noted that people of Bushenyi and Uganda should look at every person as a COVID 19 carrier since people move a lot thus advised the public to continue observing social distance ,washing hands and covering their mouths and nose with masks.
Yesterday, three COVID 19 confirmed cases were taken to Mbarara Referral Hospital and they were picked from Bushenyi district but the DHO could not divulge more details of the victims.
Dr. Mwesigye noted that naming their home areas is not important adding that the people should continue protecting themselves well knowing that the disease is now part of them.
He noted that they are now concentrating on testing the direct contacts such as family members of the three and then others will follow slowly.
Bushenyi has so far registered 6 cases of the pandemic; the active cases are three while three others were discharged after they fully recovered.
