COVID 19 IS HERE AND IT HAS KILLED 7—-KANUNGU RDC WARNS RESIDENTS

The Kanungu District Resident Commissioner Hajji Shafiq Ssekandi has warned people to stop spreading false information that there is no COVID 19 in Kanungu district

“180 people tested positive and 7 were buried but many keep denying the fact that there is COVID 19 in Kanungu,”the RDC noted.

Haji Shafiq Ssekandi was yesterday speaking during the district women’s day celebrations held at the district headquarters in a scientific way with only hundred people.

The RDC congratulated women for working hard work to feed their families during the period when hunger was on each family’s door step after the closure of all businesses.

Dr. Hope Kibansha who works with Urologist women in East Africa at Mulago emphasized that women are strong pillars in home and were very much affected during the lock down.

She explained that they were faced with challenges arranging from sexual harassment, unplanned pregnancies and early marriages

Executive Director K16 Gals Network and Public Relations Officer Uganda Industrial Research Institute (UIRI) Ms Gloria K Murisa Bariyo encouraged women to believe in themselves because they are planners, policy makers and teachers at home.
