CREATE YOUR OWN JOBS THROUGH BUSINESSES— MINISTER KASAIJA TELLS BUSHENYI YOUTHS
In Bushenyi—-
With the increasing rate of unemployment in the country, Youths have been asked to engage in different businesses so as to get support from the government.
The request was made yesterday by the minister of Finance and economic development Matia Kasaija in his message read by Emmanuel Mbabazi senior assistant secretary from the ministry of finance.
Mbabazi was representing the minister at a business building capacity workshop organized by Tomorrow business project at Bushenyi multipurpose hall.
The minister noted that government has put 100 billion shillings in commercial banks to be loaned to business operators at low interest and has also put a lot of money in Uganda development Bank to enable all business enterprises to develop.
He called on all people to develop their mindset towards building strong business despite challenges they meet.
Walter Magezi the director Walter concept and the team leader of Tomorrow Business project told www.mknewslink.com workshop was to equip people with knowledge on how to survive in business amidst all hurdles.
He added that they aim at doing the similar workshops in different districts across western Uganda so as to fight unemployment in the region.
Meanwhile, counsel Deus Kamugisha one of the business operators in Bushenyi said that people should change their mindset from thinking that employment is the only way to survive and consider starting businesses that will enable them earn.
Shallon Nahabwe the Bushenyi District Commercial Officer asked people to always have patience whenever they are doing their business and always keep records for their businesses to enable them plan well.
