CRIME PREVENTER SHOOTS DEAD INNOCENT MITOOMA RESIDENT

Namanya Sylus a crime preventer and a resident of Mayanga sub-county in Mitooma district shot dead one  Magyezi Obed  aged 40 of same area over minor disagreements.

SP Martial  Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi Police spokesperson told  www.mknewslink.com reporter that  the incident took place on Oct.11.2017  at 01:00am night.

The suspect was formerly a Crime preventer but was fired from force due to bad behavior. He joined members of his community of Mayanga but remained a big problem to the community

HOW AND WHERE DID SUSPECT GET THE KILLER GUN?

SP Tumusiime told our reporter that the deceased had earlier fought with the suspect but Namanya kept it to his heart to avenge at one time.

The police spokesperson added that the suspect kept monitoring movements of police officers at Mayanga police and on the fateful day, he broke the door of the armory at the police post and stole the gun.

He directly went to kill his enemy Obed Magyezi. He indeed found him at his home and shot him dead.

The police visited the scene headed by the DPC and OC CIID of Mitooma District at 02:00am at night and the gun which was used to kill the deceased was recovered and the postmortem was done as well.

After killing the deceased, the suspect reported to the coordinator of Mayanga sub county crime preventers , Mr Katera Richard who called the DPC for immediate action and he himself arrested  suspect (Namanya). The case was recorded at Mitooma police station underCRB 02:11/10/2017.

Suspect will be taken to courts of law to answer charges of murder as the law stipulates in the penal code act.
