DEADLY TRIBAL CLASHES RESUME IN BUNDIBUGYO DISTRICT

Tribal clashes have re ensued in Bundibugyo district leaving one house burnt to ashes and other properties destroyed.
The attackers who are believed to be from the Bamba side attacked the house of un identified Mukonjo and cut down his cocoa plantation.
The incident took place on Tuesday evening in Kakalijo village, Ntotoro Sub County in Bundibugyo district.
Eyewitnesses said that the post election clashes started in the same village.
One death has been recorded following the Tuesday’s attacks but the area resident district commissioner Geoffrey Mucunguzi condemned the re occurring tribal conflicts.
He says that security operatives have been fully deployed to prevent further attacks between the two tribes.
Reports show that people who fled the areas of Ntotoro, Kirumya, Kasitu, and Ngamba sub counties had started returning back home.
