DECOMPOSING BODY OF MAN FOUND IN WATER POND IN MBARARA

Police in Mbarara yesterday 18 March 2020 recovered a decomposing body of a man in a water pond in a near by farm tied with ropes around the neck and the legs
The deceased has been identified as Twijukye Enos aged 25 years a peasant and a resident of Nyakibungo village ,Bunenero parish ,Rubaya sub county Mbarara district who went missing on 9 March 2020.
According to Rwizi police spokes person ASP Samson Kasasira ,the deceased disappeared on 9 March 2020 and disappearance case vide CRR 18 /2020 was opened at Rubaya police post only to be found yesterday dead.
Kasasira said that investigations were done and the proved that the deceased had stolen a radio belonging to a Arinaitwe Bikongoro who was arrested by Itwara Innocent the LC1 chairman of the same area and they later beat him to death while other suspects are still on the run
In another development,an angry mob cut down banana plantation and destroyed the houses of the suspects.
The fire brigade police visited the scene and the body of the deceased was taken to Mbarara referral for postmortem as investigations into the matter continue.
