DEPUTY RDC BUNDIBUGYO; MUSEVENI SHOULD CHANGE THE WAY HE HIRES AND FIRES RDCS
By Rukundo Glorious
The deputy resident district commission for Bundibigyo Umar Muhanguzi has expressed reservations about the way president Museveni fires and hires RDCs.
He said this at former minister Mary Karooro’s home in Katungu Bushenyi town yesterday during a party organized by Honorable Mary Karooro Okurut for RDC’s working and born in Bushenyi.
Muhanguzi called upon Mary Karooro to tell president Museveni to revise the way he fires RDCs.
He added that the best option would be to first call those who are fired and counsel them and prepare them for their retirement rather than firing them in the media before he informs them.
“For example the former RDC for Bundibugyo was fired in the reshuffle and I was retained by God’s grace but I couldn’t celebrate because my boss would think am celebrating his exit”.
The RDCs whom Hon Karooro made a party for are Jane Muhindo for Bushenyi, Rosemary Atuhaire the newly appointed deputy RDC for Bushenyi, Goodman Tumwebaze the newly appointed deputy RDC for Buhweju, Nicholas Nuwagira the promoted RDC for Buhweju and Umar Muhanguzi the retained deputy RDC for Bundibugyo.
Earlier in an interview with www.mknewslink.com, Umar Muhanguzi proposed that the RDCs should work on contracts such that they prepare them early well knowing that they will be renewed or not.
Umar Muhanguzi noted that he will not wait for the president to fire him but instead he will retire himself to do other things rather than being embarrassed in the RDCs’ reshuffle.
