DEVELOP SAVINGS CULTURE- PUBLIC TOLD

Principal education officer in the ministry of education and sports Mr. Robert Mutekanga urged Rwenzori community to adopt a savings culture if they want development in their region.
Mr. Mutekanga while at the commemoration of Bank of Uganda’s 50 years in existence in Kabarole district, said teachers, District education committees and pupils must start saving for the future now if they want development in their homes.
He asked district education officers to start teaching locals benefits of savings culture through seminars and drama.
Manager Bank of Uganda fort portal currency centre Saudat Kaija advised locals to start savings for their future immediately as the practice have proven useful to the communities practicing it.
