In Bushenyi–
The Deputy Resident District Commissioner Bushenyi;Damian Turyatunga has challenged all districts country wide to employ their own residents in petty jobs in a bid to fight unemployment.
Turyatunga sounded this on Friday January19, 2018 during the Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipal conference held in municipal council hall.
He blamed rampant unemployment on districts that employ non residents in minor jobs which could have been given to the residents.
He criticized the Chinese who are involved in mining sand in lakes; the work that could have been done by jobless Ugandans.
The conference was meant to assess the last 2017-2018 budget and propose the 2018-2019 financial budget.
During the conference, the town clerk and the DEO were tasked to warn head teachers in Bushenyi-Ishaka municipality to desist from cheating examinations if education standards are to be improved.
As a result of cheating, Bushenyi Town school 2017 PLE results were upheld by UNEB.
