Residents of Rwibare cell, Ryamabengwa ward central division in Bushenyi Ishaka municipality are living in fear following mysterious killings of domestic animals by unknown predator.
These mysterious killings were first reported in the last two weeks.
Michael Musisi, the publicity secretary Rwibare village says that in the past weeks, his two goats were found dead with at least two kilograms of the bodies missing, bearing bites and scratch marks.
The following day, one pig of Innocent Nkabareka alias Kaino was found dead with similar signs.
Initially, there was no suspicion – everyone thought it was a dog or something else.
But when it happened again last night, villagers have decided to raise an alarm.
A 120 kilogram cow was found dead by its owner yesterday morning with its behind pulled out and the body bearing injury marks.
The incident brings the number of domestic animals killed mysteriously by the unknown predator in the area to four including two goats, one pig and a cow in a span of two weeks.
Musisi says that the continued delay of possible explanation coming from authorities is s worsening the situation, as the locals will continue incurring unnecessary losses.
