The former minister for disaster preparedness in the office of the prime minister Prof. Tarsis Kabwegyere has challenged those who are urging him to retire that age is not an issue but what matters is what one has done for his people in terms of development.
He added that life expectancy in Japan is at 83 years and for him he will be 80 years next year.
He revealed that he has released a document detailing on what he has done for people of Igara West which is more important than age.
He cited out the schools of; Nyabubare secondary school, Kakanju Vocational and Birimbi primary school in Nkanga sub county plus churches on which he has contributed.
Kabwegyere an aspirant for Igara West parliamentary seat made these remarks yesterday at his home in Kitookye Village Bushenyi town in an exclusive interview with www.mknewslink.com managing editor.
Prof. Kabwegyere urged the public to take up control measures and directives by ministry of health and president Museveni against corona virus.
Prof. Kabwegyere is a seasoned politicians who has served as a minister in different ministries during the reign of president Museveni and also worked as Member of Parliament for Igara West.
