DON’T RELY ON APPEARANCE AND BEAUTY TO DETERMINE HIV STATUS–ALLEN ISHARAZA

Youths have been advised not to rely on one’s appearance and beauty to   determine HIV status.

This call was made yesterday by Allen Isharaza the Igara East Member of Parliament aspirant who is also a member of AIDS Free Generation as the world commemorated world AIDS day.

She was speaking at Kitabi play ground on football match between Ibaare COU and Kiyaga COU that was organized as a way of commemorating world AIDS day.

Isharaza advised the youths to always follow AIDS prevention measures but not to just rely on the beauty because so many people look healthy yet they are HIV positive.

She added that AIDS is reducing in newly born babies which she attributed to the parents producing in hospitals.

Isharaaza advised youths to always go for medical checkups with the partners before marriage which will help to eradicate HIV in this country.

She also advised parents not to segregate HIV positive children from others because they also need to enjoy all children’s rights.
