DR. ABEL MUCUNGUZI BUILDS 50 M UGX HEALTH FACILITY IN KAKANJU TO GIVE BACK TO HIS BIRTH PLACE COMMUNITY

Dr. Abel Mucunguzi a senior lecturer at Kabale Government University and a prominent farmer has constructed a 50M health facility in Kakanju as a way of giving back to his birth place.
While launching the health facility Dr. Abel Mucunguzi noted that he has built the facility to purposely help the residents of Rwengooma in Kakanju Sub County to be able to access quality health care.
He added that most of the clinics around Kashanda are run by unprofessional staff which puts the residents to danger adding that he does not want to see his people continue to access services of unqualified staff.
Dr. Abel said that his wife Ms Federis Mucunguzi who is a health worker has retired from Government services and she is now available to offer quality health services at a minimum cost of 15,000 per patient to supplement on drug purchase.
The health facility has wards, outpatient department, staff houses and modern latrine.
The launching of the facility was preceded by a church mass presided over by Fr. Agapto Arinaitwe.
The function was graced by the district chairman Jaffari Bassajabalaba who hailed Dr. Mucunguzi for remembering his birth place
Other people present were; Mbwatekamwa Gaffa the NRM flag bearer for Igara West, Prof. Mesarch Katusiimeh from Kabale university faculty of governance who represented the university, Eldard Muhangisa a retired head teacher and prominent farmer from Ruhumuro.
