DR. BESIGYE LAUNCHES RED CARD IN RUKUNGIRI

The Former FDC party president Rtd Col Dr Kiiza Besigye has assured opposition supporters that his ultimate aim in politics is to entrench democratic principles in leadership .
Dr. Besigye on Saturday 6th Nov.2021 officiating at the launch of Red Card, in Rukungiri district at a function held at His home in Rwakabengo Rukungiri.
Red card is a coalition of opposition political parties across Uganda formed to unseat the ruling party.
Besigye noted that some people’s whispers have been attacking him that he wants to become president which he dismissed.
He noted that he is fighting to enable citizens have equal rights, Jobs, health care, Education among others.
The FDC party president Patrick Oboi Amurait revealed that they resolved to bring together opposition parties to be able to defeat the ruling party which they accuse of mismanagement
The former Rukungiri Municipality MP aspirant, Ingrid Turinawe urged opposition supporters to show effort towards the mission.
The District FDC chairperson Viriginia Kyarugahe appreciated the party management for holding the function in her area.
The function attracted over 400 people from FDC, NUP, UPC, JEMA, CP among others who included Ken Lukyamuzi, Naboth Namanya, Isaac Otto, Betty Muzanira, Fred Turyamuhweza and people from all walks of life .
