By our reporter www.mknewslink.com In Ntungamo The NRM electoral commission chairman Dr. Tanga Odoi has threatened to disqualify the former Ntungamo District woman MP Hon Naome Kabasharira who is battling with the state minister for labor and industrial relations for Rushenyi county seat for inciting violence among the voters. According to Dr. Odoi, Hon Kabasharira has been mobilizing the masses to demonstrate and block the Ntungamo-Kabale road which is uncalled for in this case. He revealed that Hon Kabasharira will get rude shock because it is not accepted in NRM guidelines to mobilize voters to demonstrate and paralyze the business of innocent Ugandans. Dr Odoi made these statements during the Ntungamo Municipality mayoral and councilor’s elections which were rescheduled for yesterday due to flaunting NRM regulations. He said that after manning the Ntungamo Municipality mayoral and councilors’ elections, he will proceed to Nyakahita village where the Kabasharira camp claims that the voting was not done and thereafter he announces the winner of Rushenyi county MP seat. Dr Odoi also warned candidates against importing the voters from outside their electoral office saying that it must stop with immediate effect. However, today the NRM electoral commission headed by Dr. Tanga Odoi used NRM registers and National ID to verify the legible in the Municipality. The hotly contested mayoral seat has attracted three people including the incumbent Jacob Kafureeka alias Jack Jex, the chairperson Eastern Division Hajji Hakim Muheki Rwomushana and district councilor Ronald Bukenya. However, the preliminary results are showing the incumbent Jacob Kafureeka alias Jack Jex, is leading the two. |
