DRIVER KILLED, TURN MAN INJURED IN RUBANDA TRUCK ACCIDENT

A 39 year old truck driver died on spot and his turn man got injured in an accident that occurred on Tuesday morning at around 5:40am at Bubare in Rubanda district along the Kabale-Kisoro road.

The deceased has been identified as Charles Buula, a resident of Namulesa Parish, Mafubira Sub County, Jinja District while the particulars of the turn man are yet to be known.

It is alleged that the accident happened after Buula who was driving a motor vehicle registration number CGO 6844AE19M benz Actros truck that was heading to Bunagana in Kosoro district failed to negotiate the corner, veered off the road  and fell down killing him instantly.

The Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson Elly Maate said that the turn man was rushed to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital for treatment and the body of Buula was also taken to the same hospital mortuary for postmortem as investigations in the matter continue
