EDDY KENZO BEATS BEBE COOL TO WIN AFRIMMA AWARD

Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo is the reigning Best Male East African artiste according to the 2018African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA). He beat nemesis Bebe Cool to win the award.

The 5th edition of these AFRIMMA awards recognized a few Ugandan artistes with nominations. Eddy Kenzo, Ykee Benda, Sheebah Karungi, Rema Namakula, Leila Kayondo, Juliana Kanyomozi, and they were hosted by Anita Fabiola.

Eddy Kenzo walked away with the Best Male East Africa award in which he faced competition from Bebe Cool, Diamond Platnumz, Sauti Sol, Juma Jux, Ali Kiba, among others. Ykee Benda scooped the Best Newcomer award as well.

Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones is the winner of the Best Rap Act in the 2018 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) that went down over the weekend in Dallas, Texas.

Khali edged out a bevy of rappers to bag the award, among them other stars that had been nominated in his category among them Olamide, Zoro and Phyno from Nigeria, Sarkodie from Ghana, Namibias Tha Dogg, South Africas Casper Nyovest, Shane Eag and Nasty C and MHD from Guinea.

Gospel artiste Papa Dennis won Best Gospel Artist of the year while Ugandan Eddy Kenzo emerged the winner, East African Artiste of the Year flooring Diamond Platnumz and Alikiba among others.
