EIGHT ARRESTED OVER STOLEN GADGETS IN MBARARA

Eight people have so far been arrested in a joint Security operation to crack down electronic gadgets theft in Mbarara municipality.

The operation which started last week has so far seen Hebert Baryamujurira, Shafik Kayondo, Emmanuel Muhwezi, Obed Muhwezi, Ronald Tukamushaba and Mutebi Hussein all from Mbarara town centre arrested.

The Rwizi region police spokesperson Samson Kasasira, said that the arrested are suspected to be in connection with the rampant theft of electronic gadgets in the town.

He also explained that these operations will continue until the festival season, so that the vice is swept away in the town.
