EMPOWER BOTH FEMALE, MALE CHILDREN—- MP RWAKIMARI TO GOV’T

Government has been challenged to empower both girls and boys if gender balance is to be achieved in Uganda.
The call has been made by the Ntungamo District woman Mp Hon Beatrice Rwakimaari today while presiding over a women workshop organized by the Women of faith Foundation Ministry-Ntungamo held in the District council Hall as women celebrate the international womens day.
Hon Rwakimaari noted that women should stop being discriminative by empowering females only saying that this has created big gap between males and females thus male lagging behind in economic development.
She appreciated the work being done by government for promoting women emancipation but noted that civilized women also need civilized men to make good families in future.
Hon Rwakimaari attributed the increased cases of divorce and domestic violence to women failing to empower and educate their both children before engaging in family matters.
She thanked the members of Women of faith Foundation Ministry-Ntungamo led by Regina Karibwende for organizing such workshop will an eye opener to many women in the district.
The main facilitator pastor Douglas Murangi of Vine Revival center Mbarara urged parents to nurture their children in a Godly manner equally to avoid the tendency of having good wives but having bad husbands in future.
The chairperson of Women of faith Foundation Ministry-Ntungamo Regina Karibwende Kinyata asked women to have income generating projects if they are to be economically empowered instead of depending on their husbands.
