The Fallen Ntungamo civil society activist Dan Mugizi Mujinya was yesterday buried at his ancestral home in Ryangusha cell, Karegyeya Kikoni Ntungamo Sub County.
Mugizi died with his long-time friend Mushabe Ephraim Rwakabare one km off Ntungamo Kabale road on Monday morning.
The duo died when the car they were travelling in, a Suzuki Swift Reg No UBG 004Y, lost control and jerked off the road hitting a tunnel.
In his comforting words, the Bishop South Ankole Diocese the Rt. Rev Nathan Ahimbisibwe reminded all mourners that earthly life is like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, therefore everyone must die.
He advised the public to stop pride and boast because life is nothing on Earth they are just passing through to Heaven.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe who was flanked by the Dean of St Mathew’s Cathedral Kyamate Rev. Can. Joash Tushangomujuni asked the mourners to accept Jesus Christ as the only savior and the way to everlasting life.
The Ntungamo District woman Member of Parliament who doubles as the director ARISE where Mugizi worked, Hon Beatrice Rwakimaari said that Mugizi was a developmental, generous and hardworking person who will be missed forever and it will be hard to replace him.
The wife Foster Mugizi described her husband Dan Mugizi as counselor, teacher, leader and caring husband.
All speakers including Ntungamo district chairman Denis Singahche, RDC George Bakunda and his elder brother Tibemanya Eliazar noted that Mugizi was humble and full of humility which everyone should emulate.
At the time of death Mugizi was a Programs coordinator at Appropriate revival Initiative for strategic empowerment (ARISE) a non-government organization that implements several projects including support to HIV affected families, plus milk projects supported by the Netherlands government in Ntungamo, Rukungiri, Rwampara, Isingiro, Bushenyi and Mitooma districts.
