FAMILY HOPELESS AS ST. JOSEPH’S VOC. SCHOOL TEACHER GOES MISSING FOR A MONTH

Police in Mbarara have kicked off investigations under which St.Joseph’s vocational school teacher also a fourth year Medical student at Mbarara University of science and Technology (MUST) disappeared a month ago.
SP Samson Kasasira the Rwizi Regional Police Spokesperson identified the missing person as a 29 year old , Paddy Segawa.
Kasasira said that the victim was last seen at school on sept.20th,2023 but later disappeared on Friday, Sept.22nd.2023 at Vybs Lounge in Mbarara city where he had gone for fun with a friend.
He said that efforts to trace the missing person saw friends and relatives call his known phone numbers but no one was answering them.
Kasasira noted that having looked for him for close to five days ,on September,30th, the relatives reported the matter to Mbarara central police station under file number SD /REF/16/30/09/2023 which also embarked on efforts to trace Segawa’s whereabouts but up to now ,no leads have been made.
Ritah Nantogo a sister to the victim, said they have tried to look for him from his relatives and friends but their efforts have not got any tangible results.
“We fear for his life and suspect he could have been kidnapped. We don’t think as an adult he can’t just go missing”
