FATHER POISONS HIS TWO SONS, HANGS HIMSELF IN IBANDA.

Residents of Kagongo Division Ibanda Municipality are left in a shock after a father poisoned his two sons and later hangs himself in the matrimonial bed room on Thursday night.

Bright Kyarikunda aged 42 years who is a Bodaboda operator based in Kampala decided to end his life and his two sons. The deceased are identified as Musiimenta Eden aged 12 years who has sat his Primary Leaving Examinations this year and Isan Nabaasa aged seven who was in P 4.

According to the wife, Oliver Ninsiima her husband demanded his children to pay him a visit because he had brought some gifts for them during Christmas holidays.

After waiting for long without getting news from her children, she decided to travel home and was shocked to find the doors locked, she then decided to report the matter to the LC 1 chairman kanzira who advised her to report the matter to police which immediately responded and forced the door open. They were all shocked to find the dead bodies in the bed room.

Ninsiima adds that when the door was opened only to find vomits in Basins and his husband on the rope next to the bodies of the children. The Police took the three bodies to Ruhoko 1V center for postmortem.

Meanwhile, The Gomborora Internal Security Officer (GISO) for Kagongo Division, Ibanda municipality, Robert Tumusiime who visited the scene today told the press that Kyarikunda has developed misunderstandings with his wife Oliver Ninsiima due to family problems and was threatening to sell his plots and the family house due to financial debts.

Police in Ibanda has not responded to this matter as they are still making further investigations.
